All right, so you're getting ready to move and you have pets. Here are 11 tips when moving with your pets. The biggest point is to keep your pets calm.

That's the number one item. Two, get them adjusted with all of the packing material. Don't change routine. Keep the same routine so your dogs are comfortable with the routine that they've always been in. Keep your pets entertained. Augie, speak. He's entertained. Get in touch with your veterinarian. Make sure if your dog has high anxiety, that you have some, uh, calming, um, medication for your dog.

Get yourself informed about any of the pet laws in the local jurisdictions that you're moving to. If you're moving out of state, get a pet-friendly accommodations, right? Get the right hotel for you guys. Make sure that this is a comfortable event for you and your pets. Pack an emergency bag for your pet just in case you're in an environment that you need to have something immediately: a treat, a collar, poopy pads, things of that nature.

Prepare your vehicle to be pre- pet-friendly for your dog, like Augie. And always pet-proof your home for when you're ready to move in. Do that ahead of time. Have a little advance notice so that when you get there, your dog, your cat, your animals are ready to move in and they're comfortable. Finally, make sure you have a collar for your cat or your dog with his name on it or her name on it and a phone number.
